Dear Candy Hearts Creator (2026)
Jan. 1st, 2026 07:55 pmHello, I’m lostyesterday on AO3. Thank you so much for writing for me! This letter includes my general likes, my DNWs, and some thoughts/prompts for each relationship I’ve requested. Feel free to use or not use the prompts/ideas here in whatever way you want. If you have a different idea unrelated to any of these prompts, please write it – I’m excited to read whatever you create!

I love stories focused on the Rebellion, each of these characters’ parts in it, and how they relate to each other in relation to it. How does the Rebellion both bring them together and drive them apart? While Cinta’s death is in my DNWs, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be interested in stories with a darker tone. Negative emotions, messy relationships, and traumatic situations are all interesting to me.
Details from the Original Trilogy, the Prequel Trilogy, Rogue One, the Clone Wars, or Rebels are welcome. Details from other parts of Star Wars canon are fine as long as the story doesn’t rely on knowledge of those parts of canon to make sense.

Specific Prompts
Cinta/Vel: I love the bits of their relationship we got in canon – the tensions and disagreements between them and the way they love each other so much anyway. Their contrasting backstories and the way that informs their different perspectives on the empire and the rebellion and the way this affects their relationship is all very interesting to me. I’d enjoy a wide range of stories for them, from something soft and gentle to something messier and more complicated. If you want to go the messier route, I’d be interested in stories where they break up and meet again as exes who haven’t lost their feelings for each other. If you want to go the softer route, I’d also love a story of them being happy together. Anything set before canon when they first met or about some random mission they’ve been on would be great. Or maybe a story where one of them gets hurt and the other has to take care of them.
Cinta/Kleya, Cinta/Kleya/Vel: There are a lot of different interpretations of these ships I’d be interested in. I’m happy for Kleya/Vel to be involved too as long as Cinta plays an important role in the story. In general, I’m really interested in what Cinta and Kleya’s relationship would be like. They have a lot in common, more than either does with Vel, and I think this could raise some interesting tensions. Maybe Cinta gets together with Kleya after breaking up with Vel. This would be even messier if Vel and Kleya were themselves exes. Really, any combination of these characters being exes/current partners/something weird and nebulous would be super interesting to me. If you’d rather not write something messy, I think Cinta/Kleya could also have a very sweet relationship where they eventually let down their walls and feel deeply understood by each other. And for a less messy take on Cinta/Kleya/Vel, an AU where Cinta survives and Kleya becomes part of Cinta and Vel’s relationship while they’re all on Yavin would be great too.
I love the women of Fury Road and am fascinated by their dynamics with each other. They each come from such different places and have such different perspectives. How do they find hope in a horrible world and comfort in each other? How do they disagree with and see the world differently from each other? I’m equally interested in pre- and post-canon explorations of these relationships, and if you have an idea for something during canon or in a canon divergence AU then go for it.
Inclusion of any elements from Furiosa (2024) would be great but completely optional – I’m happy to receive fic solely based on Fury Road. I would also prefer if what’s established in the 2015 comic was generally ignored.

Specific Prompts
Furiosa/Toast: I see Toast as potentially having the most in common with Furiosa of all the wives. Toast clearly has more experience with guns and cars than the others, and she seems to have a lot of tactical and political knowledge. I’d love any exploration of a relationship between them built on mutual respect and valuing of each other’s skills, even if that respect might take some time to build. I could see Toast becoming Furiosa’s second in command post-canon and the two of them growing closer as they try to make a new Citadel and manage the complicated political situation in the aftermath of Fury Road.
Angharad/Furiosa: I see both of these two as rebels and leaders, but in different ways. I think they would disagree with each other a lot – for example, the brief indication in Fury Road that Angharad has a pacifist/non-violent philosophy that might clash with Furiosa’s experience and beliefs about the world. I’d love anything exploring their first meeting, or how their first impressions of each other compare with how they see each other as time goes on. It would be interesting if they were in a secret relationship pre-canon, or if one or both of them harbored feelings for the other but they never got the chance to act on them. Exploration of Furiosa’s reaction to Angharad’s death in either situation would be welcome, as would any AU where Angharad survived.
Angharad/Toast, Angharad/Capable, Cheedo/The Dag, The Dag/Toast: Any pre-canon exploration of any of these relationships would be great – stolen moments, whispered secrets in the dark, holding and caring for each other. There’s a lot that’s interesting to explore about each of these characters: the Dag’s fierceness and equally fierce kindness, Toast’s intelligence and competence and quick thinking under pressure, Cheedo’s uncertainty and fear of the unknown with a deep courage lying underneath, Capable’s passionate protection of those she cares about and empathy for the suffering of others, Angharad’s leadership of the others and her philosophical ideas about power and violence and so many other aspects of the world. For stories involving Angharad, exploring the others’ grief over her death are welcome, especially if interspersed with memories of Angharad and their time together. AUs where Angharad survives would be welcome too. It could be interesting if the others believe she died but she in fact survived. Post-canon exploration of these relationships and how these women help shape a new world would also be great.
The Wives & Furiosa: I’m very interested in Furiosa’s dynamic with all of the wives. How do they each see her and how does she see each of them? In general, I really enjoy interpretations of their relationship that involve mutual respect and friendship, even if it takes a little while to develop and there’s distrust at first. I’d also be interested in anything exploring how the different wives might see Furiosa differently from each other. Do some of them trust her more quickly than others? Do some of them have more fundamental disagreements with her about the world? Post-canon exploration of how they relate to each other in the aftermath of Fury Road and how they might work together to try to make a new Citadel would also be great.
The Wives & Miss Giddy: I love Miss Giddy, and I’d love some exploration of what her relationship with any/all of the wives might have been like. She was their teacher and obviously a major influence on all of them. I’d love to see her telling them about the world before or having philosophical discussions. For post-canon, I’m fine with her either surviving or being killed. Focus on the wives’ grief for her is welcome, but if she survives, it would be interesting to see how her relationship with the wives changes after their adventure in the wider world.
The Dag & Keeper of the Seeds: Their friendship is so sweet and I’d love more of them. Any missing scene conversations between them (about the world before, their pasts, the Green Place, the seeds – anything) or any other interactions between them that could have happened during canon would be great. Focus on how The Dag feels about the Keeper’s death is very welcome too. If you want to go canon divergence and have the Keeper survive, it would also be interesting to see them interact post-canon, and maybe see the Keeper’s reaction to her seeds sprouting for the first time.
I’m obsessed with these books and the entire cast of characters. I love anything set in the Preservation Alliance/exploring the lives and relationships of the Preservation characters. I’m also super interested in how the SecUnit characters relate to humans and to each other. Anything that emphasizes the strength of friendship and loyalty between these characters is right up my alley, but I also love some exploration of characters’ trauma, and how they both connect and fail to connect with each other in relation to it.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
Specific Prompts
Farai/Mensah/Tano: I’d be very interested in any exploration of what Mensah’s relationship with Farai and Tano might be like. How did they meet and get together originally? What is their daily life like, either pre-canon or during the parts of canon where Mensah’s on Preservation? Since Farai and Tano are both minor characters, there’s a lot of room to develop their personalities in different directions. Maybe the two of them have very different personalities from each other, each bringing different things to the relationship and a different dynamic with Mensah. Any inclusion of their kids would be great too. What are each of them like as parents?
Murderbot & Mensah: I adore Murderbot and Mensah’s relationship and always want more of it. The love they have for each other, the deep devotion and inexplicable connection that doesn’t make sense to anyone else – it’s all perfect. I love slice of life stories for them, just the two of them hanging out or having a random conversation. Canon scenes from Mensah’s POV are also always good. I love seeing how Mensah views Murderbot and how that differs from how Murderbot views itself. If you want to write something plottier, I love actiony stories for them (fighting, escaping/hiding from danger etc.).
Murderbot & Ratthi: I love their bestfriendship. I love how Ratthi is someone Murderbot can easily call its friend and is genuinely comfortable with. I love how much Ratthi trusts it and respects its unique ways of communicating and relating. I love slice of life fics of the two of them hanging out, or Ratthi’s POV on any canon events. Fugitive Telemetry also made me think it would be fun to see them as a mystery-solving duo – Murderbot as the detective and Ratthi as the enthusiastic and helpful sidekick.
Murderbot & Three: I love how different these two are from each other and how they struggle to relate to and understand each other despite both being SecUnits. I like awkward conversations between them, and circumstances forcing them to interact with each other in ways they aren’t comfortable with. Any situation where either of them protects or defends the other is also excellent, and any type of canon-typical actiony plot would be fun.
Ratthi & Three: Ratthi feels like an ideal friend for Three in a lot of ways, and I’d love anything about Ratthi exploring how best to deal with Three’s whole uncomfortable relationship with personhood. It would be great to see Ratthi and Three doing any sort of recreational activity together, or maybe talking about biology (it would be fun if Three took an interest in biology). I’m also interested in the idea of Three coming to live with Ratthi on Preservation for a while.
What I most love about DS9 is how staying in one location allowed intricate storylines and complicated webs of relationships between characters to develop over many seasons. I equally enjoy both stories exploring moral ambiguity and the emotional toll of war, and silly/light-hearted stories about characters living their daily lives or ending up in ridiculous situations.

Specific Prompts
Kira/Jadzia: I love any kind of friends-to-lovers story with these two, especially if it emphasizes how much they get along despite coming from such different backgrounds and being such different people. Anything focusing on Trill and/or Bajoran culture is always great. I’d be interested in AUs where Jadzia decides to pursue Kira instead of Worf, especially if it involved some hilarious hijinks. Holodeck dates either based on the canon holodeck programs they’ve done or something new would be fun, and I’d love to see a classic stranded on a planet and huddling for warmth story with them.
Sisko/Kasidy: Their canon relationship is so good. Any scene of them just hanging out together would be amazing. I’d also love to see either of them meeting each other’s families, and it would be interesting for Sisko to spend some time on Kasidy’s ship and meet her crew. I’d also love an angstier story where they struggle with what Sisko being the emissary means for their relationship. For post-canon, I’m interested in Sisko returning from his time with the Prophets and how he and Kasidy might navigate their relationship now that Sisko isn’t exactly human anymore and exists outside of time.
Jake/Ziyal: They should have met! A friends-to-lovers story would be great for them, or maybe a secret relationship where they don’t want either of their dads to know they’re together. I’d also love to see them combining their artistic talents in some way – maybe working on a project that involves both writing and painting. Any kind of Ziyal lives AU and exploring how she might fit in to later parts of DS9 would be great too. There are lots of different directions this relationship could go: sweet, angsty, humorous – I’m open to any of them.
Jake/Nog, Jake & Nog: Their relationship is wonderful whether it’s platonic, romantic, or some nebulous third thing neither of them knows how to define. Any stories about their time as roommates would be loved, or any humorous stories about the various hijinks they get up to. Exploring tensions and disagreements between them would also be interesting – I love seeing them have difficulty with each other but love each other deeply all the while. Long-term agonized pining and crushes are great here too if you’re going the romantic route. I’m fine with unrequited feelings as well.
Jake/Nog/Ziyal, Jake & Nog & Ziyal: I think the three of them could have such an interesting dynamic! A lot of what I said for Jake/Ziyal and Jake /& Nog could apply here too. Having the three of them as a trio that gets up to ridiculous hijinks would be so fun, and I’d also love if Ziyal became roommates with them. You could add Ziyal into the story of In the Cards or any of Jake and Nog’s other canon plotlines too. If you’re writing the romantic version, either having them as an established relationship or seeing how the three of them end up together would be great.
Sisko & Kira: I love the complex progression of their relationship from antagonistic to awkward to close. Any stage of their dynamic would be very welcome. Missionfic is especially fun for them and I love seeing them work together, but I also just love small moments of them interacting and connecting. I’d love to see them bonding over their mutual annoyance at having to deal with some sort of messy diplomatic situation, or a particularly annoying newcomer to DS9. I’d also love to see them in any situation that forces them to confront the complexity of Kira’s feelings about Sisko as a major figure in her religion.
Sisko & Jadzia: I love their powerful friendship that lasts across lifetimes. I love when they joke around with each other, but I also love their moments of intense seriousness and the philosophical back and forth the two of them sometimes get into. It would be fun to see more exploration of their early-seasons relationship – how do Sisko and Dax get reacquainted with each other now that Dax is Jadzia? Any details about Dax’s past hosts, Jadzia’s past before she was joined, and Sisko’s previous relationship with Dax would be super interesting too. It could also be fun to see them in an AU where Jadzia ends up as Sisko’s first officer on a Starfleet ship.
Sisko & Jake: The father and son dynamic of all time. I’d love any pre-canon stories about the two of them, either when Jake was a little kid, or dealing with their grief after Jennifer’s death. What were their lives like on a Starfleet ship before the show? Any involvement of Jennifer or of Ben’s family would be welcome. Alternatively, I’d love a story about Ben and Jake’s feelings on Jake growing up over the course of DS9. I love that we get to see Jake grow up over the show, and the way canon reflects on that is super interesting to me.
I love how, in the first two seasons of Enterprise, there’s a lot of newness and uncertainty and the crew feel out of their depth, and I think that can be interesting to explore in relationships too. How do aliens from different worlds relate to each other? How do they understand and misunderstand each other? I also really enjoy light-hearted/humorous stories and explorations of characters’ daily lives, or any kind of canon-typical adventures, especially spotlighting characters that were less frequently focused on in canon.
Specific Prompts
Hoshi/T’Pol: I love their dynamic in season 1 where Hoshi seemed to be the human who understood T’Pol best and T’Pol helped Hoshi with her anxiety. I see them as two characters who have a lot in common but are also different in some important ways, and because of the way they are, have difficulty admitting to and accepting true connection with other people. I enjoy interpretations of their relationship that are a bit messy or ambiguous. Maybe they’re sleeping together as an “experiment” in alien relationships and are both pretending very hard not to have feelings about it. Maybe they’re in a mutual yearning situation where neither will admit it. I’d be happy with a resolution where they actually get together and admit their feelings, or a more open ending where things remain unresolved between them. But I’d also enjoy a simpler, unambiguous take on their relationship where they openly love and appreciate each other. For plot ideas, it would be fun to see them working together to solve some sort of alien culture-related mystery.
Hoshi/Travis, Hoshi & Travis: I always wanted more of them interacting in canon. I’d be equally interested in these two as a romantic or platonic relationship, or something nebulous and in between if you want. I’d love to see them being besties (whether they’re dating or not), having b-plot type shenanigans, or talking about their lives with each other. It would also be fun to see either of them teaching the other a little of their specialty – Hoshi teaching Travis an alien language or Travis teaching Hoshi the basics of flying a shuttle. I’d love to see them take center stage in a plottier story too, maybe going on an away mission together.
I love every classic Star Trek plot – stranded on an alien planet, weird temporal paradoxes, perception-manipulating aliens, etc. I am always a fan of putting these characters in situations. But I also love to see bits of their everyday lives, how they connect with each other, and what they mean to each other, and I love any exploration of alien cultures. Expansion on the tensions and disagreements in any of these relationships is welcome, but I’d also enjoy a lighter, fluffier story too.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
Specific Prompts
Ro/Deanna: They have so much potential to have an interesting dynamic. I’d equally enjoy a sweet, romantic take on their relationship, or something messier and less well-defined where they have trouble with each other but are still drawn to each other. There’s some interesting stuff that could be explored with Deanna’s empathic abilities. Does Deanna being able to read emotions make Ro feel uncomfortable, and how does it affect their relationship? If you want to set this after season 7, how does Deanna feel about Ro joining the Maquis? It would be super interesting if they dated on Enterprise before Ro left and meet again as exes on opposite sides of a conflict. Or if you’d like to write something lighter, it would be fun to see them do recreational activities together, maybe a holodeck program where they get physically close to each other and it leads to realizations.
Guinan/Ro: I love their canon dynamic so much! They both have a lot of trauma from their pasts, and I’d love to see exploration of that and how they relate to each other through it. It feels like Guinan understands Ro in a way most people don’t. Does Ro like being understood, or does it make her uncomfortable? It would also be interesting to see a situation where Guinan is made vulnerable and how Ro reacts to that. I’d enjoy a wide variety of interpretations of this ship. Maybe they have a casual relationship and aren’t sure if they want more. Maybe Ro develops feelings for Guinan but believes she doesn’t have a chance. Maybe their relationship is temporary and it ends when Ro leaves to join the Maquis. Do they both accept that, or do they have deep regrets? Maybe they get a second chance and meet again post-canon.
Data/Geordi, Data & Geordi: I love their relationship as platonic or romantic, or some undefined third thing. Any b-plot shenanigans or random holodeck adventures would be welcome. I’d also be interested in a story that focuses more on Geordi’s POV – how does Data being in his life impact his perception of the world? Data supporting and helping Geordi through something challenging would also be wonderful. In general, I love seeing them care for each other in unconventional ways.
Geordi & Ro: I loved seeing them become friends in The Next Phase. Any alternate takes on that story would be very welcome, or an exploration of how their friendship developed after that. I love unlikely friendships between people who seem on the surface extremely different from each other. If they were hanging out together as friends, what sort of activities might they do? Or maybe Geordi meets Ro again after she’s joined the Maquis – how might he react?
What I love about Voyager is the contrasting coziness and bleakness of its premise – these characters that become so close through being stranded so far from home. Light-hearted explorations of these relationships are welcome, but so are stories with more angst, focusing on the characters’ loneliness, trauma, uncertainty, etc., and how they both connect to and struggle with each other.

Specific Prompts
Seven/B’Elanna: I love their dynamic! I’d equally enjoy a sweet take on their relationship where they come to a place of mutual acceptance and understanding, or a messier take where they struggle with each other and yet are drawn together anyway. Any stressful/dramatic situation that forces them to confront their feelings for each other is always welcome. I love stories that emphasize the parallels between them – their struggles with their identities, their relationship with their humanity and their alienness, their lack of feeling true belonging (“outcasts together”). I also love humorous takes on their relationship – their arguments are so ridiculous sometimes and it’s a lot of fun. Story ideas: the two of them are forced to work together on some type of project after having a massive argument, B’Elanna is injured and Seven has to take care of her – neither is thrilled about this.
Kes/Seven, Kes & Seven: I think these two could have had such a fun dynamic, whether platonic or romantic. Any AU where Kes stays on Voyager after Seven comes onboard would be great. They’re very different from each other, but they have some commonalities in terms of their unusual perspectives on life. I think they’d be drawn to each other’s openness and honesty. I’d love to see these two developing a relationship where they both encourage each other’s weirdness, and Kes defends Seven’s autonomy to the rest of the crew the way she did with the Doctor. Plot ideas: Seven and Kes attempt to host a party together for the entire crew, the two of them accidentally shrink themselves down to a tiny size and have to figure out how to fix it.
Kes/B’Elanna, Kes & B’Elanna: It’s tragic to me that these two interacted so little in canon because I think they could have gotten along so well. I think B’Elanna would be really drawn to Kes’s kindness and lack of judgement, and Kes would value B’Elanna’s strong sense of morality and loyalty. When other people often automatically view B’Elanna as difficult to deal with and relate to, I think Kes would get along with her super well. I like the idea of combining their contrasting personalities. It would be fun to see them doing science experiments together, combining Kes’s biology interest with B’Elanna’s technological knowledge. Maybe they accidentally build some sort of Frankenstein-like creature together and have to deal with the consequences.
Kes/Seven/B’Elanna: Any of my ideas for the individual pairings would be extremely welcome here too. It would be interesting to see how Kes’s continued presence on Voyager might change B’Elanna and Seven’s dynamic. Any adventures the three of them get up to, or just a snippet of how they might interact with each other in a regular everyday situation would be amazing.
Harry & B’Elanna: Their friendship is so important to me. I love how B’Elanna affectionately calls Harry “Starfleet” in early seasons, and how quickly and deeply they come to trust and rely on each other despite seemingly coming from opposite perspectives and places in life. I’d love to see anything with the two of them supporting each other through stressful situations or just hanging out in the mess hall. Anything about them solving engineering problems together, building something, or otherwise working together would also be great.
Seven & Tuvok: Their dynamic is so fun. I’d love any story about Seven coming to Tuvok for advice about dealing with something she doesn’t understand about humans, or maybe the two of them being forced into some sort of tedious social situation and being mutually grumpy about it. I also think they’re a really fun pair to see go on away missions or have various other adventures.
Kes & Tuvok: I love how much they mean to each other. Canon explored Tuvok helping Kes learn about her telepathic abilities, but it would be interesting to see that expanded on, maybe in an AU where Kes doesn’t leave Voyager. I’d also love to see them going on adventures to alien planets together. In general, I really love the respect the two of them have for each other, and the way their different flavors of telepathic abilities interact.
These are all relationships involving Star Trek characters from different shows that I thought sounded interesting. Any typical Star Trek plot (stranded on a planet, holodeck hijinks, weird time travel stuff, etc.) would be super fun, or literally just a scene of them meeting each other/interacting.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
Specific Prompts
B’Elanna/Kasidy: I think this is a really underrated ship. It would be so interesting if they met through the Maquis. Maybe Kasidy’s ship transports B’Elanna somewhere and they have to hide her in Kasidy’s quarters. Maybe B’Elanna doesn’t trust Kasidy at first because she thinks she isn’t truly committed to the Maquis cause, but ends up coming around when she gets to know her. There are other potential ways they could meet too, so if you have another idea, go for it!
Jadzia/Guinan: The idea of two really long-lived characters who are otherwise very different being together is so interesting to me. There’s a lot of interesting potential if Guinan knew one or more of Dax’s previous hosts. What is it like for Dax to have changed so much and Guinan to have stayed basically the same? Or maybe they’ve never met before. I just think they could have a really fun time together.
Data & B’Elanna, Data & Seven, Geordi & B’Elanna, Geordi & Seven: I think the engineering and science geniuses from TNG and Voyager should meet! Feel absolutely free to mix and match any of these dynamics if you want. It would be cool to see any of these characters assigned to work on engineering/science projects together (either post-canon or in an AU where they’re in the same quadrant as each other, whatever way you want to accomplish that). I love seeing competent characters work together and solve problems. Any philosophical discussions on the nature of humanity, life, belonging, friendship or literally anything else would be so fun – I think these characters would have so much to potentially talk about.

DNWs
- Smut/explicit sex (fade-to-black scenes, sex being a centrally important part of relationships, and sex being discussed openly are all very welcome as long as the sex itself isn’t explicitly described)
- Non-canon rape/non-con, strong focus on canon rape/non-con happening during the fic (referenced or as central elements of characters’ canon backstories is fine)
- Pregnancy/childbirth (mentioning canon pregnancy is fine, strong focus on canon pregnancy is fine for Mad Max specifically as long as there’s no graphic description of childbirth)
- Non-canon permanent major character death
- Cheating/infidelity (I’d prefer conflicting canon pairings to have broken up or to have never been together unless otherwise stated, Mad Max specific exception: the wives having illicit relationships with people other than Immortan Joe is not only allowed but extremely encouraged)
- Unrequested non-canon ships
- Non-canon marriage/weddings
- Setting-change AUs such as modern AUs, or AUs that fundamentally impact relationship dynamics such as soulmate or omegaverse AUs (any type of canon divergence AU is completely fine, as are additions of sci-fi/fantasy elements like time travel to canons that don’t already have them)
- Entirely bleak/hopeless endings (as long as there’s a little hope left it’s fine)
Andor
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- Stories taking place after Return of the Jedi/the fall of the empire
- Cinta’s death (please either set stories before her death or write an AU where she lives)
- Pure fluff (joy and tenderness are welcome as long as there’s at least a little acknowledgement of the characters’ trauma and the darkness of the empire)
Mad Max
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- AUs where Furiosa was one of Immortan Joe’s wives for longer than depicted in Furiosa 2024 (other deviations from what’s established in that movie are fine)
- Pure fluff (joy and tenderness are welcome as long as at least a little of canon’s darkness is captured)
The Murderbot Diaries
I’m obsessed with these books and the entire cast of characters. I love anything set in the Preservation Alliance/exploring the lives and relationships of the Preservation characters. I’m also super interested in how the SecUnit characters relate to humans and to each other. Anything that emphasizes the strength of friendship and loyalty between these characters is right up my alley, but I also love some exploration of characters’ trauma, and how they both connect and fail to connect with each other in relation to it.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- Reference to Murderbot with pronouns other than it/its
- Fic from the POV of a construct whose governor module is currently functioning during the story (references to functioning governor modules in the past are fine)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
What I most love about DS9 is how staying in one location allowed intricate storylines and complicated webs of relationships between characters to develop over many seasons. I equally enjoy both stories exploring moral ambiguity and the emotional toll of war, and silly/light-hearted stories about characters living their daily lives or ending up in ridiculous situations.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- Any of the following canon relationships currently being together during the fic (as a past relationship is fine): Kira/Odo, Julian/Ezri
- Portrayal of the Maquis as entirely unjustified (some moral ambiguity is fine)
Star Trek: Enterprise
Star Trek: The Next Generation
I love every classic Star Trek plot – stranded on an alien planet, weird temporal paradoxes, perception-manipulating aliens, etc. I am always a fan of putting these characters in situations. But I also love to see bits of their everyday lives, how they connect with each other, and what they mean to each other, and I love any exploration of alien cultures. Expansion on the tensions and disagreements in any of these relationships is welcome, but I’d also enjoy a lighter, fluffier story too.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- Major focus on Data’s emotion chip
- Portrayal of the Maquis as entirely unjustified (some moral ambiguity is fine)
Star Trek: Voyager
What I love about Voyager is the contrasting coziness and bleakness of its premise – these characters that become so close through being stranded so far from home. Light-hearted explorations of these relationships are welcome, but so are stories with more angst, focusing on the characters’ loneliness, trauma, uncertainty, etc., and how they both connect to and struggle with each other.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- Any of the following canon relationships currently being together during the fic (as a past relationship is fine): Seven/Chakotay, B’Elanna/Tom, Kes/Neelix
- Portrayal of the Maquis as entirely unjustified (some moral ambiguity is fine)
- References to Seven of Nine with the name “Annika Hansen” (unless referring to her as a child before being assimilated)
- Describing B’Elanna’s personality as being a certain way because she is Klingon (for example, statements like “B’Elanna is angry all the time because she is Klingon”)
Crossover Fandom
These are all relationships involving Star Trek characters from different shows that I thought sounded interesting. Any typical Star Trek plot (stranded on a planet, holodeck hijinks, weird time travel stuff, etc.) would be super fun, or literally just a scene of them meeting each other/interacting.
Fandom-Specific DNWs
- Any of the following canon relationships currently being together during the fic (as a past relationship is fine): Seven/Chakotay, B’Elanna/Tom
